USSSA (abbreviated to "U-Trip") is the largest multi sports sanctioning body in the world. Being well established in most of the country already, we are excited to begin bringing USSSA to Oregon! USSSA stands for United States Specialty Sports Association, was founded in 1968 and has grown to have over 4 Million participants across the country. USSSA sanctions the following: Fastpitch, Baseball, Slowpitch, GSL Slowpitch, Basketball 3-on-3, Basketball 5-on-5, Soccer, Volleyball, Junior Golf, Team Golf, Disc Golf, Karate, Taekwondo, Lacrosse, and Flag Football.
USSSA is the only Fastpitch Softball Organization that actually owns a professional team, the USSSA Florida Pride, and owns their newly built Space Coast Complex located in Viera, Florida. Some of the best players to ever play the game of softball have played for the USSSA Pride. Players such as: Kelly Kretschman, Jessica Mendoza, Natasha Watley, Caitlin Lowe, Cat Osterman, Keilani Ricketts, Lauren Chamberlain, and Sierra Romero just to name a few.
Our goal for Oregon USSSA Fastpitch is to continue to grow the game, by offering professionally run tournaments and events that are unmatched to our competitors. Our tie with the Florida Pride will allow us to actually bring in their current professional players to select tournaments, to give clinics and have "chalk talks" regarding all areas of the game including recruiting. These will be invaluable experiences hearing from professional players, giving each kid an experience that no one else can.
