Roster Guidelines

  1. Team rosters must be listed within your team manager account on usssa.com and must be kept current at all times. If your roster goes below 9 players, your points accumulated will disappear until roster again reaches at least 9 players. You do not earn points without 9 rostered players.
  2. If you have a player that will not be at a particular tournament they need to be deleted from your online roster. Then you can add them back in prior to their next tournament. A "roster addition request" will be sent to the State director who will be able to approve them being added back.
  3. GUEST PLAYER actions. A player not on another USSSA roster must be ADDED to your ONLINE roster and is not considered a guest player. ALL guest players must be added onto your team through the" Manage Guest Player" system inside your team manager account. This must be done 6 hours before start of the 1st game of the tournament. A pick up player can still be deemed an illegal player via protest through the Tournament Director.  In severe cases a player may be handwritten in on a USSSA roster to be considered a guest player.

Frequent Roster questions:

Q: Can my 12U registered player, play up on a 14U team?
A: Yes! They can easily be a guest player on any 14U team. They do not need to be added formally to the 14U roster, you would just go through your usssa.com account and add them as a guest player.

Q: Age-wise my player is eligible to play 12U, but she is already registered on a 14U team. Can she be a guest player on a 12U team?
A: No, a registered player can always play up, but cannot play down from their registered division.

Q: Can my 14U registered player, play on both our team and be a guest player on a 16U team, in the same tournament?
A: No, she can only play on one team in a tournament.
